Tips

A low-dose CT thorax scan offers high sensitivity and can detect tumors as small as 1-2 mm. It has significantly greater early detection efficacy than an X-ray test. It also does not require the injection of contrast media, and exposes patients to less radiation than standard lung CT scans, amounting to approximately 1/3 of a standard CT scan.
